Material and Tools Required
- One of any below material:
- 1x SMT resistor in 0603 or 0805 package, range 0 Ohm to 10 kOhm
- 1x through hole resistor range 1 kOhm to 10 kOhm
- thin wire
- Soldering equipment
Operation Steps
- Desolder or destroy U2. Discard U2
- Depending on material available, do one of the following:
- If you have thin wire: Solder a wire link between inside pad of R1 and pin 3 of U2 (or inside pad of C7, if you destroyed the pads of U2 along with its body). Finish.
- If you have suitable SMT resistor: Solder a suitable (0603 or 0805, 0R to 10k) SMT resistor between pin 2 and pin 3 of U2. This can be done easily with hot air gun. 5.1k 0603 resistor shown. Finish.
- If you have suitable through hole resistor: Solder a suitable (1k to 10k) through hole resistor between C8/C9’s inside pad to “RST” pad on production header. Finish.
